TalkSport pundit Ray Parlour has stated that Tottenham star forward Harry Kane could be a perfect fit for Manchester United to replace the ageing Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Sun claimed on Sunday evening that the 23-year-old striker faced an uncertain future in north London with new contract talks being put on hold.

The report stated that there was interest from United alongside Chelsea and Manchester City in the England international.

Now former Arsenal midfielder Parlour believes that Kane could be a perfect replacement for 35-year-old powerhouse forward Ibrahimovic.

“I’m sure Manchester United will be looking at him,” told Parlour to TalkSport, as quoted by the Daily Star. “They will be thinking ‘okay Ibrahimovic is here at the moment but he’s getting on a bit.’

“‘We might need a new striker soon’. He could be perfect for Manchester United.”

Kane is currently still contracted at White Hart Lane until 2020, but the report states that he’s wanting a pay rise from his current £60,000-a-week deal.

The young forward has recently returned from a seven-week injury, as he looks to help Tottenham regain their early season form.

As the club’s main goal threat Mauricio Pochettino will be keen to keep him at the club, as he looks to bring the Premier League title to White Hart Lane.
