Tottenham will travel to Monaco on Tuesday evening in what is set to be an enthralling encounter in the Champions League Group E.
There’s a lot on the line for the north London outfit as they know a win is a must if they want to stay in the elite competition.
Here, Football Insider looks at three key players that can earn their side a famous victory against the group toppers:
It was no coincidence that Tottenham were able to secure their first victory in eight matches after the star forward returned from a long-term injury.
The 23-year-old even got on the score sheet twice as his side came back from 2-1 down to beat West Ham 3-2 late in the game on Saturday.
He will pose questions of a Monaco defence which contains the powerful Poland international Kamil Glik and Brazilian Jemerson and they will be keen not give Kane any chances to display his clinical touch in front of goal.
The world-class goalkeeper will have to be at the top of his game against a team that have scored an incredible 39 goals from their 13 fixtures in Ligue 1.
Lloris will be expecting a barrage of attacks on his goal as he faces a rejuvenated Radamel Falcao alongside the in form Valere Germain.
However, the 29-year-old has kept six clean sheets in 14 appearances this season and he will be confident in his abilities going into the fixture.
Monaco have a destructive strike force and Tottenham will be without defensive leaders Toby Alderweireld.
This places greater onus on his fellow Belgian centre-back in what is a hugely important fixture for Spurs.
He will need to form a brick wall in front of Lloris to ensure his side don’t weaken their chances of progressing by conceding.
