Tony Pulis believes that Mauricio Pochettino has created a fantastic style of football at Tottenham.

West Brom host Spurs on Saturday and will be expecting a tough match against the only unbeaten side in the Premier League.

The Baggies are well set-up and are well known for their defensive resilience under Pulis.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has also built a formidable defence and his side have conceded just three goals in seven league games.

Pulis is expecting a difficult encounter with Spurs and has praised the strength of their opponents under Pochettino.

“He (Pochettino) put his stamp on Southampton and he’s certainly put his stamp on Spurs now. You can watch his teams and they’re well coached,” Pulis said, as quoted by Spurs’ official website. “They’re fit, they run around but they’re well coached as well and I like to see that.

“They know what they’re doing in possession, they know what they’re doing out of possession, they play as a team and they work as a team. They work up and down the pitch exceptionally well and added to that, they’ve got some real talent.”

Spurs are now regarded as serious title contenders after recording a comfortable 2-0 win against league leaders Manchester City before the international break.

The north London club are now just a point adrift of City and will be keen to continue their impressive start.

Pochettino’s side made a title bid last season and West Brom dealt a massive blow to that, earning a critical 1-1 draw at White Hart Lane.

The two teams drew 1-1 in both league fixtures last campaign and Spurs have struggled to break down a stubborn West Brom defence.

In other Tottenham news, the club’s fans have reacted on Twitter to Marcus Edwards’ display against Manchester City.
