Aston Villa chairman Tony Xia has offered his support towards manager Roberto Di Matteo after a difficult spell in charge of the club.
The regular Twitter user took to the social media site and told fans of past experiences where he had owned businesses and saw manager’s grow in their own role.
The Italian boss has only managed one win in his first nine games in charge, but Xia posted a positive message towards the Italian boss on his personal Twitter account.
“As a chairman of a group of many companies, I had various experience to watch managers grow. As far as one can learn and grow, future still be bright,” said the Chinese business tycoon.
The Midlands club added nine senior players to their squad this summer bringing some pre-season optimism to the relegated side.
However, the poor start has quickly brought an end to the early optimism and some sections of the support believe that Di Matteo needs to leave the club before Villa suffer another poor season.
They face high flying Newcastle in the league next, which will bring another tough fixture to Aston Villa and Roberto Di Matteo.
In other Aston Villa news, Jordan Amavi has stated he is very happy to be at Villa.
