Percy also reported that the Championship club are looking to sign Chelsea striker Partick Bamford on loan, as Roberto Di Matteo moulds his squad for a promotion challenge.
Both Jedinak and Bamford would make a drop from the Premier League into the Championship if they were to put pen to paper.
Italian newspaper Tutto Sport also revealed that Villa have agreed terms for Bologna midfielder Amadou Diawara, 19 who is attracting interest from Napoli and Roma.
A deal for either players will please the Villa Park supporters after they picked up their first win of the Champions season with a 3-0 win against Rotherham on Saturday.
In the latest Aston Villa transfer news, the club are set to announce the arrival of this former Manchester United man.
