The 39-year-old Villa owner gave some insight into the club’s transfer policy as they set their sights on a series of new arrivals in the final weeks of the summer window.
Xia has claimed that up to eight more players could join the Roberto Di Matteo revolution this month to join the four players who have already signed.
Speaking on Twitter on Tuesday night, the outspoken Chinese Tycoon revealed the qualities that the club are looking for in their new signings.
Xia said on his personal Twitter account that the players must have “mentality and character”, “Championship or Premier League experience” and be “willing to fight for Villa”.
