Tony Xia was left disappointed after Gabby Agbonlahor turned down a reported deadline day transfer to Reading.
The Birmingham Mail claim that the club’s longest serving player refused to make a transfer switch to the club’s Championship rivals which did not please the Chinese Tycoon.
Agbonlahor, 29 has been told by manager Roberto Di Matteo that he has no future at the club, with Xia publicly stating the striker would be sent out on loan.
However, Xia expressed his disappointment on his personal Twitter account when news broke the club’s ex-captain had refused a move away from Villa Park.
“I was disappointed with this,” Xia wrote on his personal Twitter account. “I said to Gabby that going somewhere even he unlikes playing convince us a real man.”
Here is Xia responding to a supporter questioning Agbonlahor after his refusal to join Reading.

Agbonlahor has not featured for Di Matteo’s side this season, as the Italian has added three attacking players to his squad as the Midlands club push for instant promotion.
The highly criticised striker has made 333 appearances for his boyhood club, scoring 84 goals since making his debut in 2004.
The three-time capped England international played in 18 encounters for his side in all competitions, but had a return of just one goal and two assists as his side were relegated to the Championship.
