Aston Villa boss Dr Tony Xia has seemingly taken a shot at Fabian Delph and Idrissa Gueye on Twitter.
The Villa chief was responding to the news, reported by ESPN on Thursday afternoon, that Gueye was undergoing a medical with Everton after they triggered his £7.1million release clause.
Both Gueye and Delph have left the Villains in recent years in favour of new bumper deals at top Premier League clubs.
“Once someone has clause in contract,” Xia Tweeted, “looks like being giving a chance to betray. Said staying one day and escaped the other day. D now G!”

Xia has become known for a crypic tweet since his £92million takeover of Villa, but it seems he is talking about both Delph and Gueye here.
It is believed that Delph had a buy-out clause put into his deal just six months before leaving Villa Park and Gueye is now the latest to leave, with Everton triggering his release.
Despite his club producing its worst season in their 141-year history last year, Gueye’s individual stats were mightily impressive.
The Senegal international won 108 tackles last season, only second behind Premier League winning midfielder N’Golo Kante, but the 26-year-old will now be plying his trade in Merseyside.
In other Aston Villa team news, manager Roberto Di Matteo has praised the loyalty of Brad Guzan, but insisted his stay at Villa Park had to come to an end.
