Erik Lamela has revealed that Manchester United’s Old Trafford is his favourite away ground to visit as a Tottenham player.

Midfielder Lamela has played on three occasions at Old Trafford, where he has been on the winning side on one occasion, losing the previous two meetings.

Spurs travel to the stadium dubbed ‘The Theatre of dreams’ on December 11, in what is expected to be a typically hard-fought encounter.

Old Trafford holds the highest capacity crowd in English football, with an average of 75,365 supporters travelling to Manchester to watch the 20-time league champions.

Here is Argentina international Lamela revealing that Old Trafford is his favourite away ground.

The 24-year-old has played in 12 Premier League, EFL Cup and Champions League games this term, scoring two goals and providing six assists.

His Spurs side are the only unbeaten team left in the Premier League, as they sit in third place with 18 points after eight games.

Pochettino’s side could go top after the weekend fixtures, if results go their way, with joint leaders Manchester City and Arsenal on 19 points.

Spurs travel to Eddie Howe’s in-form Bournemouth side on Saturday afternoon, with the Cherries scoring six goals in their previous league encounter.
