Tottenham senior quartet Clinton N’Jie, Nabil Bentaleb, DeAndre Yedlin and Nacer Chadli could be heading for the exit door after being omitted from the squad for Friday’s friendly against Inter Milan.

Mauricio Pochettino dropped a major hint about the futures of the four by not selecting them in his 24-man squad for the trip to Oslo.

The north London club announced on the club’s Twitter page the 24-man squad travelling to face the Serie A giants.

Pochettino did not select either of Alex Pritchard or Federico Fazio for the club’s recent pre-season tour of Australia, and both have departed over the last 24 hours, to Norwich and Roma respectively.

Football Insider revealed last week that Pochettino had sanctioned the exodus of seven senior players including N’Jie, Bentaleb and Chadli, while David Moyes revealed that he has held talks about bringing former loanee DeAndre Yedlin back to Sunderland.

Senior stars including Hugo Lloris, Harry Kane and Dele Alli have returned to the squad following their Euro 2016 campaigns this summer, while the Argentine manager has also chose to take a number of rookie players to Norway over the fringe senior players.

N’jie joined Spurs from Lyon for £14million last summer, but he is in closing in on move back to France.

Borussia Dortmund are preparing a £12million bid for Chadli, who has slipped down the White Hart Lane pecking order.

Tottenham are ready to sell Bentaleb for around £10million even though he signed a new five-year contract last year.

Spurs could also cash in on USA international Yedlin, who joined from Seattle Sounders in 2014 on a four-year contract after only making one substitute appearance for the club..
