Anthony Martial came off the substitute’s bench to score Manchester United’s third goal in their 4-0 demolition of West Ham on Sunday – and Tottenham fans urged their club to sign him.
RMC Sport correspondent Mohamed Bouhafsi reported on his personal Twitter account that Tottenham have tabled an offer for the 21-year-old but Jose Mourinho’s side emphatically knocked back the possibility of the forward moving to north London.

That has not prevented the White Hart Lane faithful from hoping their team can land the former Monaco man, whose explosiveness and clinical touch has made him a menace to Premier League defences since he joined in the summer of 2015.

My opinion of Martial won’t change. I don’t want that emotionless character in my team #COYS

The 21-year-old forward’s future at United has been in doubt as Jose Mourinho appears to prefer wide players that will play with more defensive discipline than the French international.
Martial was not named in the starting XI for the defeat of West Ham but scored with a slick finish seven minutes after being introduced as an 80th minute replacement for Marcus Rashford.
Nevertheless, the Portugese appears to regard the 2015 summer signing as a key member of his squad ahead of the team’s Premier League opener against West Ham on Sunday.
Martial has scored 26 goals and supplied 17 assists from 92 United appearances, with the club predominantly using him in a left-flank role.
The offer for Martial comes as Tottenham look to secure up to three signings before August’s transfer deadline in just three weeks.
