Tottenham could be without five senior players against Arsenal – and the club’s supporters expressed their concern on Twitter at the potential omissions.
Toby Alderweireld, Ben Davies, Moussa Sissoko and Erik Lamela have all been ruled out of the north London derby, while midfielder Mousa Dembele is doubtful.
Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that defender Alderweireld will not be available on Sunday, when his side face rivals Arsenal in the Premier League at the Emirates.
Wales international Davies will also be missing through injury alongside Lamela and Sissoko will serve the last of his three-game suspension for elbowing Bournemouth’s Harry After.
Belgian international Dembele has been named as doubtful for the weekend after he was substituted in the midweek defeat to Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League.
The north London club are without a win in their last six games across all competitions and face an Arsenal side who are unbeaten in their last 15 matches.
Spurs supporters voiced their fear about potentially facing the Gunners without five of their senior players.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Spurs are still just three points adrift of league leaders Manchester City and remain the only unbeaten side in the division.
Pochettino’s side have drawn three consecutive league games since defeating Man City 2-0 at White Hart Lane and have scored just two goals in that time, but could be boosted by the return of forward Harry Kane.
The 23-year-old has missed the last 10 games in all competitions through injury after sustaining ankle ligament damage against Sunderland in September.
In other Tottenham news, Robbie Savage has predicted the club’s game against Arsenal and hailed a key player.
