Vincent Janssen has completed his move from AZ Alkmaar to Tottenham – and Spurs supporters on Twitter were delighted that the club now have two prolific strikers.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men are preparing for Champions League football this season after a remarkable 2015-16 season which saw the club miss out on the Premier League title.

Janssen was the top scorer in the Dutch League last season with a virtual goal-a-game haul of 27 goals in 34 games. In all competitions, he struck 32 times in 49 matches.

In contrast Harry Kane scored 25 goals in 38 games in the Premier League – a goal every 135 minutes compared to one every 105 for their new signing.

Spurs supporters were just pleased that the club now have a second senior striker which they hope will take the workload off Kane’s shoulders.

One Tottenham fan compared him to Premier League legend Ruud van Nistelrooy ,who went on to score 150 goals for Manchester United in a five-year period.
