Tottenham have reportedly booked a medical after agreed a £10.8million fee with Marseille for Georges-Kevin N’Koudou – and fans of the Londoners have reacted hesitantly to their expected third summer signing.

As reported on Football Insider, the France Under-21 winger is set to travel to London and undergo a medical in the next 48 hours.

It is claimed that Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino spoke to N’Koudou personally on the phone last week and that the 21-year-old will sign a five-year contract with the club.

N’Koudou is set to become Tottenham’s third signing of the summer after they completed the purchases of striker Vincent Janssen for £18.8million and Victor Wanyama for £12million.

However, the north London club’s recent dealings with French clubs haven’t brought the most success to the Premier League with Clinton N’Jie, Benjamin Stambouli and Etienne Capoue widely considered flops.

Many Spurs fans have reacted fearfully on Twitter with the thought that N’Koudou could turn out to join the list of flops from Ligue 1.

Tottenham will be looking to improve on their third placed finish in the Premier League next season as well as remaining competitive in the Champions League, so Mauricio Pochettino will be keen to add more depth to his squad.

In other Tottenham transfer news, Spurs are in advanced talks with Ligue 1 side Marseille over a loan deal for striker Clinton N’Jie.
