Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere could be sent out on loan before Wednesday’s transfer deadline, and Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to have a laugh at the player’s expense.
Sky Sports had claimed on their transfer centre blog on Monday night (10.27pm) that manager Arsene Wenger will sanction the temporary exit of the club talisman.
Wilshere, 24, has an extensive injury record starting back in 2009 when he suffered the first of many serious ankle injuries.
Despite having a minor knee injury in pre-season, the midfielder has recovered to be on the substitute’s bench for each of Arsenal’s three Premier League matches this season.
He has a history of antagonising Tottenham supporters, which includes an anti-Spurs chant the midfielder sang during Arsenal’s FA Cup winning parade in 2014.
As expected, the Spurs support have been vocal on Twitter following the loan move speculation, posting jibes at Wilshere and putting particular focus on his injury history.
Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Jack Wilshere epitomises Arsenal.. "World Class" without actually achieving anything World Class. Biggest fraud of a club going. #COYS

Wilshere can leave the Gooners on loan. They'll be queueing round Woolwich to sign old glass ankles. ?

The Jack Wilshere news has made my night! I hope he ends up at Stoke or Burnley or somewhere else equally depressing to live/work.

Wilshere needs to play with people that are around his talent range, I suggest somewhere like Grimsby, then maybe he'll learn some things.

The transfer window shuts on Wednesday which does not allow much time for Wilshere to find a new club.
Wilshere was left out of Sam Alladryce’s first England squad on Sunday and a potential loan away from Arsenal has capped a disappointing few days for the midfielder.
The former Bolton loanee has been sidelined throughout his career for 890 days, missing out on 154 matches for the Gunners.
In other Tottenham news, Everton are interested in hijacking Wolfsburg’s move for Spurs attacking midfielder Son Heung-min.
