Victor Wanyama was used as a second-half substitute against Liverpool on Tuesday night – and the Tottenham supporters praised his impact on Twitter.
The 25-year-old was introduced in the 67th minute and looked impressive in the midfield.
Spurs were beaten 2-1 by Liverpool in the EFL Cup fourth-round, with England striker Daniel Sturrdige scoring a brace.
Vincent Janssen scored a penalty in the second-half to set up an interesting finish and the substitution of Wanyama certainly improved the team.
Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino made 10 changes to his side as he gave the club’s youngsters and fringe players the chance to impress, with Eric Dier the only man to retain his place.
The north London club bowed out of the League Cup and will now turn their attention to their Premier League and Champions League campaigns.
Spurs supporters were thrilled with the performance of Wanyama and feel he delivered another sound performance for the club.

Wanyama, 25, completed a move to White Hart Lane in the summer from Southampton.
The Kenyan international has settled very quickly and cemented his place in the team, with Mauricio Pochettino favouring him as his first-choice defensive midfielder.
He has now made 12 appearances in all competitions and completed 90 minutes in eight of the nine Premier League games this season.
England intentional Dier is facing a battle to keep his midfield role after the impressive start of Wanyama.
