Josh Onomah has been handed his England Under-21 debut for their clash against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tuesday afternoon – and Tottenham fans reacted with delight on Twitter.
The Spurs’ youngster is regarded as one of the club’s brightest young prospects and the news of his England inclusion was greeted with positivity.
Onomah scored his first Tottenham goal against Gillingham in the EFL Cup last month and has come on leaps and bounds in the last 12 months.
He played in both of Tottenham’s opening Premier League fixtures this season against Crystal Palace and Liverpool and has now recorded 10 league appearances in total.
The youngster is a product of the Spurs academy and is highly thought of by fans so the 19 year-old’s inclusion in the Three Lions’ squad came as no surprise.
Pochettino has praised the youngster in the past and Onomah will be hoping a good performance for England will help his chances of getting even more first_team action this season.
