Tottenham fans were happy with what they saw from Vincent Janssen in his first Premier League start for the club – and fans took to Twitter to express their delight.
The 22-year-old forward played the full 86 minutes in Saturday afternoon’s clash against Middlesbrough and was credited with the assist for Son Heung-min’s first goal.
Spurs won the match 2-1 after a double from the South Korea international cancelled out Ben Gibson’s goal for the north east side.
Supporters hailed Janssen on social media for his all-round play, with one fan comparing his playing style to Chelsea’s Diego Costa.

The striker opened his account for Spurs in the midweek win against Gillingham after featuring in seven other fixtures beforehand.
He was prolific in front of goal in Holland last season scoring 32 goals in 49 appearances, while also providing seven assists.
Janssen will be keen to fill the boots of star forward Harry Kane, who is expecting a long injury lay-off after suffering an ankle injury against Sunderland last week.
Mauricio Pochettino will also be looking for his side to progress without Kane as he looks to improve on the club’s third place finish from last season while remaining in the Champions League.
