Tottenham fans have reacted with shock on Twitter after midfield ace Dele Alli was left out of their squad to face Arsenal.
The 20-year-old was expected to start in Sunday’s North London derby, but has been left out due to a knee injury as one of three changes made by manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Alli has featured in 14 of Tottenham’s 16 league and cup encounters this season, scoring four goals in the process and his omission from the squad will come as a huge blow to Spurs’ chances.
With Eric Dier moving into a midfield role, Belgium international Mousa Dembele is expected to fill the former MK Dons’ playmaker’s position behind striker Harry Kane.
Tottenham fans have reacted with shock on Twitter, with many dismayed at the news as they look to pick up three points against their arch enemies.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Tottenham’s number 20 is one of the first names on Mauricio Pochettino’s team sheet, after breaking onto the scene last season.
Alli, who moved to Spurs in the 2015 January transfer window for £5million, has seen his career prosper following the move as well as becoming an England regular.
