Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen was withdrawn from the Belgium v Netherlands friendly international on Wednesday after being taken out by Liverpool’s Simon Mignolet.

He looked like he was struggling following the incident and was replaced by Bas Dost in the 25th minute, with Sky Sports reporting that it looked like the striker was suffering from concussion.

Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to bemoan the latest injury to their strike force, with Harry Kane only just returning to action and Son Heung-Min revealing he’s struggling with an ankle problem.

However, some fans are not convinced the player has what it takes for Spurs, with one fan claiming he was the worst Premier League transfer of the summer.

Here are a selection of their tweets:

Janssen has struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League since joining from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar in the summer.

He is yet to score from open play, netting just three penalties in 17 appearances in all competitions since joining Spurs.

His goal against Leicester on October 29 was his first in the Premier League since joining in the summer despite making 10 appearances.

The Dutchman cost Tottenham £17 million and the club hoped he’d be suitable back-up for Harry Kane but Son Heung-Min has proved to be more effective this season so far.

In other Tottenham news, this ace should not make Tottenham’s current strongest XI.
