Tottenham fans were not impressed on Twitter with the performance of Josh Onomah, as Liverpool triumphed 2-1 on Tuesday night.

The teenage winger was poor for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, as he failed to provide the creative spark that he has shown on previous occasions.

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge scored an impressive brace against the title challengers, as Jurgen Klopp’s side booked their place in the quarter finals of the EFL Cup at the expense of Spurs.

Out-of-favour defender Alberto Moreno marshalled the England Under-21’s international out of the game on Spurs’ right flank, making Onomah looking average.

Tottenham fans took to Twitter to express their dismay at Onomah’s display, with some fans calling on Pochettino to send the 19-year-old out on loan.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Despite playing out of position, Spurs fans didn’t hold back on their academy product after he gave the ball away numerous times throughout the match as Liverpool’s defence held firm.

London-born Onomah, who wears the number 25 shirt for Spurs, has made five appearances for Pochettino’s side this season including a Champions league appearance against Bayer Leverkusen.

In other Tottenham news, Pochettino has explained how this group of youngsters can follow the example set by star striker Harry Kane.
