Moussa Sissoko came off with a suspected injury in the second-half against Middlesbrough on Saturday but the club’s fans voiced their frustration on Twitter over his performance.

Tottenham completed a 2-1 victory in the Premier League, with Heung-Min Son grabbing a first-half brace to secure the three points.

Sissoko was making just his fourth appearance for Spurs since his £30million summer arrival from Newcastle.

The 27-year-old is yet to register a goal or an assist and has failed to yet to live up to his hefty price tag so far.

The club’s supporters expressed their anger on Twitter about Sissoko’s performance and some believe that Erik Lamela should play ahead of him.

Lamela replaced Sissoko as a second-half substitute and has contributed to seven goals already this season.

Sissoko completed his move to White Hart Lane following relegation from the Premier League with Newcastle.

The French international did enjoy a successful Euro 2016 campaign with the hosts and delivered a great performance in the final.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino decided to sign him on deadline-day and he will hope that he can improve his squad.

Spurs remain unbeaten in the league this campagin and are up to second with 14 points.
