Son Heung-min came off the bench for Tottenham in Saturday evening’s victory over West Ham, and fans on Twitter were delighted with what they saw from the South Korean attacker.
The north London outfit extended their unbeaten league run to 12 matches with a 3-2 victory at White Hart Lane, with Son playing a vital part in the final two goals.
The 24-year-old entered the field on the 73rd minute with the scoreline standing at 2-1 to the Hammers following goals from Michail Antonio and Manuel Lanzini alongside a Harry Winks strike.
Son caused problems for the West Ham defence with his high energy after coming on and had a shot parried by Darren Randolph which then fell to Harry Kane to slot home, before the South Korean was then fouled in the box for Kane to convert home to ensure his side the vital three points.
Fans hailed his cameo on social media and many were left wondering why he didn’t start the fixture.
Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Son has fought his way back into contention for Mauricio Pochettino’s starting 11 after a disappointing debut campaign with the club.
He has scored five goals and provided four assists this campaign in 13 fixtures in all competitions and fans will be hoping he continues his good run of form as they look to go far in the Champions League, while also remaining in the hunt for their first Premier League title.
