Victor Wanyama was picked out as the man of the match by Sky during Sunday’s win against Manchester City – and Tottenham fans expressed their delight on Twitter at the midfielder’s performance.
Wanyama started for Spurs alongside Moussa Sissoko in a midfield two and the Kenya international played a key part in ensuring that his side finished the match with a clean sheet.
Spurs secured a 2-0 victory against the league leaders with an own goal from Aleksandar Kolarov giving them an early lead before Dele Alli doubled in the first half.

Wanyama played the full 90 minutes and fans on social media were delighted with his display.

The 25-year-old combative midfielder moved to White Hart Lane in an £11million deal from Southampton in the summer.
He has since featured in seven encounters for the club and even got on the score sheet in the 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace.
The north London club are looking to improve on their third place finish from the last campaign and they currently sit in second place, a point behind league leaders Manchester City.
In other Tottenham team news, Dele Alli apologised to the injured Harry Kane for not celebrating for him following his goal.
