Tottenham new boy Victor Wanyama has impressed club legend Ledley King after his arrival in north London this summer.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino has strengthened his squad with midfield enforcer Wanyama joining striker Vincent Janssen at White Hart Lane in the current transfer window.

Spurs have added just two players to their squad, although the Guardian report that they are close to announcing the arrival of winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou as an £11million signing from Marseille.

“I can see he looks very settled, comfortable around the other guys, which is good,” Tottenham ambassador King told Fox Sports. “There’s a great team spirit. The quicker the players settle in, the better for the team. He looks ready to go.”

Pochettino looks set to maintain the core of his squad from last season and mount another Premier League title push, after losing out to eventual champions Leicester, despite rivaling them for large parts of the campaign.

The young English foundation of Eric Dier, Dele Alli and Harry Kane played a huge role in their success, the latter earning the golden boot award for his 25 league goals.

Wanyama’s new midfield rival Alli also picked up the accolade of PFA Young Player of the Year after scoring 10 goals and providing nine assists for Pochettino’s side.
