Dele Alli has criticised his Tottenham teammate Eric Dier for his lack of fashion sense by stating “he needs to get clothes that fit him”.
Versatile player Dier joined Spurs during the summer of 2014 from Sporting Lisbon, while midfielder Alli was purchased for £5million from MK Dons a season later.
The duo have built a strong friendship during their time at White Hart Lane are known for their humorous verbal and social media sparring.
But, Alli, who was the PFA Young Player of the Year for the 2015-16 season, did not hold back in his criticism of Dier.
“He needs to get some clothes that fit him,” Alli told Sky Sports as quoted by the Evening Standard. “His T-shirts are either really long and thin or really wide and short. I don’t know what’s going on with them.”
On the pitch Alli has played 14 Premier League and Champions League games this season, scoring three goals.
By contrast Dier has started the same number of games, but is yet to provide an assist or score a goal.
However, the north London club are the only unbeaten team in England this term as they have recorded 21 points from 11 games, but they have drawn six of those fixtures.
In other Tottenham team news, supporters on Twitter were left annoyed as seven senior figures could miss the West Ham clash.
