Palermo are expecting an offer from Tottenham for their star attacker Franco Vazquez in the coming days, according to a report.

Vazquez was in fine form for his club last season with eight goals and six assists in 36 Serie A appearances and is tipped to move onto new pastures this summer.

Palermo are thought to be aware of Tottenham’s interest in the attacker, who has two years left on his contract and the Sunday People claim the Italian club are braced for a bid in the next few days.

Last month the Daily Star claimed Spurs were preparing a £10million offer for Vazquez, but that Palermo valued the player closer to the £20million mark after an excellent season.

However, it is also claimed that Tottenham are still not 100 percent convinced on whether to take their initial interest any further.

The 27-year-old has reportedly communicated his desire to play in the Premier League and has made playing in the Champions League one of his priorities.

Vazquez primarily operates as a roaming attacking midfieler, but has played up front for Palermo and on the wings at times this season.

Tottenham are looking to add quality and depth to an already talent-laden squad that is expected to compete again for the Premier League title as well as in the Champions League.
