Robbie Savage commentated Tottenham’s game with Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League on Thursday- and Twitter were pleading with him to stop.
The former Blackburn player was unimpressed with Mauricio Pochettino’s team selection after the Spurs coach made seven changes to his side from the weekend draw with Arsenal.
“You’ve got Aston Villa at the weekend. Why not start Kane, Lamela, Dembele tonight? It’s a mistake,” said Savage speaking on BT Sport.
Spurs were battered 3-0 by the German side in the first leg of their last 16 tie after leaving Eric Dier in England and Harry Kane and Moussa Dembele on the bench.
Savage was keen to point out how he felt about the selections, repeatedly and listeners seemed more annoyed at his comments than Tottenham’s loss.
Robbie Savage was trending after the game and this tweet seems to suggest that for some BT listeners, the torture is not over.
