Lassana Diarra has been offered around to a number of Premier League clubs including Tottenham and Manchester United, according to a report.

The Evening Standard claims that the 31-year-old is able to leave Marseille on a free this summer after an agreement with the club that he could leave without a fee if they failed to qualify for continental competition.

This report comes after the Sun claimed in May that the defensive midfielder had attracted Spurs and Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.

The former Arsenal midfielder has revived his career with Marseille after falling off the radar when he was fired from his previous club Lokomotiv Moscow in 2014.

Diarra starred in 31 appearances in all competitions last season, adding a goal and an assist from his more defensive role.

The combative midfielder was also named in the France Euro 2016 squad, but had to pull out before the tournament due to a swelling in his knee.

Tottenham have already brought defensive midfielder Victor Wanyama from Southampton this summer, but they may be looking to further add to their squad as they look to compete for the Premier League title as well as remaining competitive in the Champions League next season.

Diarra brings experience of starring at the highest level after three years with Real Madrid.

The France international is also well accustomed to the Premier League after spending five years in the English game with Chelsea, Arsenal and Portsmouth.
