BBC pundit Garth Crooks has named four Tottenham stars in his team of the week after Mauricio Pochettino’s side battled to a 2-0 victory against Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.
An own goal from Aleskandar Kolarov as well as a cool finish from Dele Alli ensured that the north London side won the three points at White Hart Lane.
Crooks named defensive trio Kyle Walker, Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen in his side after they ensured a clean sheet against the attacking power of Sergio Aguero, David Silva and Raheem Sterling.
Forward Son Heung-min was also selected in the side after he provided the assist to Alli’s goal.
Tottenham have started the new campaign in impressive form and the vital win over Manchester City has placed them in second and a point behind Pep Guardiola’s league leaders.
They have picked up 17 points from their opening seven matches in the new campaign and are the only current unbeaten Premier League side .
The north London club will travel to the Midlands after the international break for a clash at the Hawthorns, where they will face Tony Pulis’ West Brom team.
