Tottenham are set to rest some key stars in Thursday’s Europa League clash against Fiorentina, Football Insider sources understand.

Dele Alli, Mousa Dembele, Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane are among those who could be left on the bench as Mauricio Pochettino keeps his leading players fresh for their Premier League title challenge.

Spurs have three matches, a Europa League last-32 double header against Fiorentina and Sunday’s FA Cup fifth-round tie against Crystal Palace, before they host Swansea in their next league fixture on Sunday week.

A Tottenham source has told Football Insider that Pochettino will tweak his team for the away trip to Florence as he prioritises the Premier League.

The likes of Tom Carroll, Ryan Mason,  Erik Lamela, Ben Davies and Nacer Chadli, who were all on the substitutes’ bench for Sunday’s dramatic 2-1 win over Manchester City, could all start.

As revealed by Football Insider last week, 18-year-old Cameron Carter-Vickers is in contention to be drafted into the squad.

The centre-back is yet to make his first-team debut but has been training with the senior group since the start of the season and Pochettino said earlier this month that he “has enough quality” to come into the side.
