Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld won’t be fit in time for the clash against Leicester, according to a reliable journalist.
The 27-year-old defender has missed Spurs’ last three fixtures in all competitions following a clash with his team-mate Jan Vertonghen in his side’s 1-1 draw with West Brom.
Now Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur, who writes for HLN has reported on his personal Twitter account that the star defender is out with a knee nerve and won’t be fit in time for the clash against the Foxes.

Alderweireld has made 10 appearances for Spurs in the new campaign and has been the key part of a very successful defence following his move from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2015.
Eric Dier has been filling in for the Belgium international in the back four following his absence and will face a stern test against the Champions attack which contains Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy.
The north London club currently sit in fifth place in the Premier League table and one point away from league leaders Manchester City.
Meanwhile, Leicester are struggling to replicate last season’s form and sit in 12th place with 11 points from their nine fixtures.
In other Tottenham team news, Mousa Dembele has been axed from the best possible starting XI to face Leicester City.
