Kyle Walker assisted a goal as Tottenham beat Hull City 3-0 at White Hart Lane on Wednesday night – and fans on Twitter hailed his performance.
The right-back played the full match as Mauricio Pochettino’s side recorded a valuable three points against the Premier League strugglers.
Walker was a constant threat for the home side as the Tigers could not live up to his pace and power throughout the game.
His hard work was rewarded in the second half when he made a blistering run down the right hand side, used his strength to push off a defender and fizz a delightful ball across the penalty area for Christian Eriksen to slot home.
Fans stated that Walker was the Man of the match during the home win, despite playmaker Eriksen bagging two goals and an assist on the night.
Supporters on Twitter felt the formation in which Pochettino was playing Walker in suited his style of play as he could burst up and down the flank at will.
Overall fans were pleased with the England international and his top quality performance which keeps his side in the hunt for a top four finish.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
First of all it was a back three with Dier in it. Wanyama, Toby, Vert, rose, walker. Erikson, Winks were excellent, Sissoko good. #THFC
