Tottenham target Yunus Malli is available for a bargain price as it emerged that he has an £8.4million release clause in his Mainz contract, according to a report.

The former Borussia Mönchengladbach player has just two years left on his current deal and could be tempted by a move to the Premier League with Spurs.

German newspaper Bild reported the clause in Malli’s contract as Mainz prepare to listen to offers for the 24-year-old.

Mauricio Pochettino is tracking the Turkey international as he looks to land an attacking midfielder before the transfer window closes.

Malli is a long-term target of Pochettino and he was even a guest at White Hart Lane last season.

The versatile midfielder, who played for all of Germany’s youth teams before opting to represent Turkey at senior level, has scored 24 goals and provided 15 assists in 122 appearances for Bundesliga outfit Mainz.

However, Pochettino will have to act quickly if he is to bring the 24-year-old to White Hart Lane, with Turkish outlet Miliyet reporting that Galatasaray are considering making a move for him if Wesley Sneijder is sold this summer.

Mainz’s number 10 was in lethal form last season as his side finished above expectations in sixth position, scoring 11 goals from midfield and making another five.

In other Tottenham news, Pochettino has agreed terms with this Ligue 1 attacker.
