Jan Vertonghen has arrived with the rest of the Tottenham squad at White Hart Lane and is expected to be named in the matchday 18 that faces Manchester United.
The centre-back has not been involved with the first team for 11 weeks after suffering a knee injury in the FA Cup defeat to Crystal Palace in January but is set to feature against United.
Vertonghen has been slowly working his way back to full fitness and revealed on his Twitter account last week that he was “getting closer” to a return.
The big Belgian had been hoping to be fit in time for the crucial Liverpool match, but Vertonghen was not deemed to be ready and had to watch his side slip to a costly 1-1 draw with the Merseysiders.
Several journalists have tweeted from White Hart Lane confirming Vertonghen’s presence in the warm-ups.

It is unlikely that the Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino will thrust his star defender straight back into the starting lined-up against a youthful United side, but the 28-year-old is set to be at least named on the bench.
Tottenham are now seven points behind league leaders Leicester and cannot afford to lose to United on Sunday if they are to have any chance of chasing down the Foxes in the remaining six league matches.
Tottenham tweeted a picture of their players arriving at White Hart Lane, but there was no sign of Vertonghen until the later updates.
