Kazaiah Sterling scored a hat-trick in the first half as Tottenham Under-18s recorded a thrilling 10-1 victory against Stevenage in the third round of the FA Youth Cup on Wednesday.
The youngster set the tone for his teammates with an early hat-trick as Tottenham’s exciting prospects humiliated the hosts on Wednesday evening.
Sterling has now scored in each of Spurs’ last four games despite being out of action for over two months at the start of the season through injury.
The 18-year-old winger has returned in sensational form and it took less than two minutes for him to score the first goal in the mid-week cup tie.
Goals from Japhet Tanganga (2,) TJ Eyoma, Jaden Brown, Samuel Shashoua (2) and Jack Roles rounded off an impressive attacking display from Spurs’ youth team.
Since Mauricio Pochettino’s arrival at White Hart Lane a number of Tottenham youngsters have been given the opportunity to break into the first team.
Sterling is just one of the exciting teenagers on Tottenham’s academy books and he will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of first teams stars Harry Kane and Harry Winks.
The Spurs duo have been hugely impressive since making the jump up from the academy and with Pochettino in charge, Sterling and his teammates have been promised an opportunity to progress.
