Tottenham are set to listen to offers for seven member of the first-team squad this summer, Football Insider sources understand.
Mauricio Pochettino has only signed Vincent Janssen and Victor Wanyama, but has sanctioned an exodus even though Spurs are preparing for a return to the Champions League.
A well-placed Tottenham source has told Football Insider that wingers Nacer Chadli and Clinton N’Jie, midfielder Nabil Bentaleb, playmaker Alex Pritchard, central midfielder Tom Carroll, defender Federico Fazio and goalkeeper Michael Vorm are all surplus to requirements under Pochettino.
Four of the seven – N’Jie, Bentaleb, Pritchard and Fazio – were omitted from the Spurs squad for their upcoming two-match tour of Australia even though they did not feature in tournaments this summer, unlike the nine senior stars, including Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Hugo Lloris, who will not be on the trip.
Pochettino chose to take a number of rookie players to Australia after deciding to cash in on the fringe members of the first-team squad.
N’jie joined Spurs from Lyon for £14million last summer, but he is in closing in on move back to France.
Borussia Dortmund are preparing a £12million bid for Chadli, who has slipped down the White Hart Lane pecking order.
Tottenham are ready to sell Bentaleb for around £10million even though he signed a new five-year contract last year.
It has been reported that the North Londoners have stamped an £8million price tag on Pritchard and it will take a figure in that region to move him away from White Hart Lane.
Spanish publication Sport claim that 29-year-old centre-back Fazio has agreed the terms of a four-year contract with the La Liga club, although Spurs are yet to agree a fee.
Vorm, who has two years to run on the contract he signed when he joined Tottenham from Swansea in the summer of 2014, has been unable to break in the first-team set-up at White Hart Lane.
In other Tottenham transfer news, the club are keeping close tabs on a highly rated Holland central midfielder.
