Leeds fans have reacted staunchly in the defence of their manager Garry Monk after it was reported that owner Massimo Cellino is ready to wield his managerial axe.
The former Cagliari owner is said to be upset with the Yorkshire giants’ start to the season, that has seen Leeds win just two of their seven Championship games.

Tuesday night’s 2-1 Championship win against Blackburn at Elland Road propelled the Yorkshire giants out of the relegation zone into 17th position, but that’s reportedly not enough for Cellino.
Fans are not impressed at the prospect of Cellino still appearing to be ready to sack Monk, less than four months after bringing the 37-year-old to Yorkshire.

Kyle Bartley’s 86th-minute winner moved Leeds on to seven points from as many games, and had seemed to ease the pressure on Monk’s shoulders amid fears that he would in fact be sacked if Leeds failed to beat rock-bottom Blackburn.
However, The Times report sheds fresh light on Monk’s situation and suggests that his tenure is doomed regardless of results.
Leeds face Cardiff this weekend and it remains to be seen whether Monk, one of English football’s most highly rated young managers, will be in the dugout for the Yorkshire giants at the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday.
