Leeds fans are desperate for Garry Monk to sign Leicester defender Liam Moore, who is available in a cut-price deal worth £1million.

The versatile defender has less than 12 months remaining on his King Power deal, and Leeds are reported to be interested in snapping the former England under-21 international up.

The Bristol Post have claimed that Leeds have a long-standing interest in Moore, who is also attracting interest from Reading and Bristol City.

It is said that Reading have already tabled a £1million bid for the centre-back, who has been told by Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri he can leave the King Power Stadium.

The report also claims that Bristol City are interested in the versatile defender, after making 10 appearances for the Robins during a loan spell in the first half of last season.
Leeds fans are excited on Twitter over the potential signing, after Sunday’s 3-0 loss to QPR revealed a number of defensive frailties.
Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Moore, who has also had loan spells with Brentford and Bradford City, has not been given a squad number by Leicester this season.

The defender was an integral part of the Leicester side that gained promotion to the Premier League three seasons ago, making 33 appearances in all competitions as Nigel Pearson’s side were promoted as champions.
In other Leeds transfer news, the Whites are set to become a lot busier in the transfer market in the coming days.
