Arsenal target Alexandre Lacazette continued his incredible goalscoring form for Lyon with a brace on Friday against Caen in a 2-0 win, and Arsenal fans are not happy at the news.
The 25-year-old scored three goals in Lyon’s first Ligue 1 game of the campaign, and made it five in two games on Friday night, converting two penalties, one in the 31st minute and one late in the 96th minute.
Supporters on social media bemoaned Wenger’s hesitation in securing the signing and claimed his recent form could lead to a price-hike for the forward.

1 more goal from Lacazette today and he's managed the same amount Giroud managed in the league from January to May in 2 matches lol

So we're 6 points behind United already. Meanwhile Lacazette has scored 5 in 2 games… Just fantastic Arsenal. Cheers

Despite the tweets, Gunners fans had held out hope of securing the deal after BBC Sport reported last month that Lyon rejected a £29.3million bid for Lacazette from Arsenal.
Lacazette has been one of the most prominent names linked to the Gunners this summer, after an impressive campaign last term that saw him find the back of the net 23 times in all competitions.
The Ligue 1 Player of the Year for 204-15 has made 10 appearances for his national side, but was not selected for the France Euro 2016 squad despite being part of the preliminary squad.
The forward has only played for Lyon at senior level since his debut in 2010, but has been regularly linked with a move away from the seven-time league winners.
In other Arsenal transfer news, an experienced defender could move to the club if a replacement is found.
