Aston Villa should make three changes to their starting XI as they welcome Blackburn to Villa Park on Saturday afternoon.

Steve Bruce’s men drew their last league encounter 1-1 against bitter rivals Birmingham City at St Andrews.

The promotion expert needs to start Ross McCormack, Jack Grealish and Aaron Tshibola for the weekend clash.

It means the suspended Jordan Ayew, Ashley Westwood and the injured Albert Adomah should drop out.

As Villa are playing at home they will need to be more offensive against the second from bottom Championship side.

Versatile attacker Kodjia should start out wide, giving McCormack the opportunity to start up front, so he can show his true qualities as a striker.

Grealish must return on the left flank, as Villa have missed his creativity on the ball, despite winning two games in his absence.

In the middle of the park, Bruce must drop Westwood for Tshibola, as he needs to find a midfielder, who can produce that forward pass.

But, the claret & blue club should stick with the same backline that has played in the last two games, as Villa look to earn their second consecutive clean sheet at home.

In other Aston Villa team news, Glasgow giants Rangers are monitoring this Villa player as the could prepare for a January swoop.
