Summer signing Georges Kevin-N’koudou and goalkeeper Michel Vorm are set to start against Liverpool in the EFL Cup on Tuesday evening, according to a reliable journalist.

Mauricio Pochettino has used the cup competition in previous rounds as a way to use the club’s academy products, but he looks likely to name the fringe senior duo alongside them.

The Spurs boss, speaking ahead of the EFL Cup clash against Liverpool on Tuesday evening, as reported by ESPN’s Tottenham correspondent Dan Kilpatrick revealed on his on his personal Twitter account that the pair would start against the Merseysiders.

N’Koudou has made just four appearances for the north London club this season following a long drawn out transfer saga in the summer.

Meanwhile, Vorm has also played in four encounters in the new campaign, due to an injury received earlier in the season to goalkeeper star Hugo Lloris.

One of his displays include a match against Liverpool, where the Dutch goalkeeper put in a terrific performance to keep the match at 1-1.

Spurs will travel to Anfield on Tuesday evening to face an in form Jurgen Klopp team.

The Reds are currently in third place in the Premier League, while Spurs are just one point behind in fifth.

However, it remains to be seen how much Pochettino wants the EFL Cup competition with the Premier League title and the Champions League also on the agenda.

In other Tottenham team news, Mauricio Pochettino believes that Spurs youngster Harry Winks “will be a very important player for the future” for the club.
