Harry Kane and Dele Alli are named in the top 10 of the most powerful players in English football in a list compiled by the Telegraph.

Tottenham’s emphatic duo lit up the Premier League last season and both have been named by the newspaper alongside some of the country’s best stars.

Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil also makes the list but Manchester United unsurprisingly boast the most stars.

The future of English football seems to rest in the hands of Alli after the Spurs youngster lit up the Premier League last season.

The 20 year-old is a talented, exciting and creative midfielder and he could be an international star in a few years to come.

Last season he scored 11 goals on his way to being named the PFA Young Player of Year and has already recorded two more this season.

Teammate  Kane burst onto the scene in 2014-15 when his 27 goals helped Tottenham finish second in the league.

They hoped to go one better last season, mounting an exciting title challenge against Leicester City and alongside Alli, Kane was one of the club’s outstanding performers.

The striker claimed the league’s Golden Boot award ahead of compatriot Jamie Vardy after another impressive 2015-16 season that yielded 25 Premier League goals.

However, after a disappointing European Championship performance with England in the summer and an injury at the start of the new season, it’s not been a great few months for Kane.

The top ten: 10. John Terry, 9. Daniel Sturridge, 8. Cesc Fabregas 7. Dele Alli, 6. Mesut Ozil, 5. Marcus Rashford, 4. Harry Kane, 3. Paul Pogba, 2. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 1. Wayne Rooney.

In other Tottenham news, Spurs could be vulnerable ahead of their next league clash due to international strain.
