Eunan O’Kane looks likely to come straight into the first team after completing his deadline-day move from Bournemouth.

The 26-year-old midfielder moved to Elland Road from the Premier League in a £1million deal.

Garry Monk will be looking to include O’Kane in his starting XI as soon as possible, and it’s looking as though Ronaldo Vieira could be the player replaced in the lineup.

O’Kane is known more for his creative play, while Vieira is more defensive minded and Leeds already have a similar player in Liam Bridcutt in the centre of the park.

Monk could opt for a Vieira/Bridcutt partnership away from home, but at home the fans will be expecting the team to take the game to the opposition.

Bridcutt also joined the club this summer following an initial loan spell and new signings Hadi Sacko and Pablo Hernandez have made up the midfield in the early matches.

Remarkably, £3million summer signing Kemar Roofe misses out in a full strength Leeds side given the attacking power of Sacko and Hernandez on either side of the pitch.

The club did well to keep current Player of the Season Charlie Taylor at the club following reports linking him with a move to the Premier League.

New signings Luke Ayling and Kyle Bartley have joined the established pair, Taylor and Liam Cooper in the side’s defence, while Robert Green has come under some criticism from the club’s supporters in goal, but it looks like Monk has picked him as his number one over Silvestri.

Meanwhile, new £1.6million signing Marcus Antonsson will lead the side’s attack with New Zealand international forward Chris Wood.

The club have also added midfielder Matt Grimes and centre-back Pontus Jansson to their squad in loan deals and they will be ready to step in if an injury occurs to a first team member.

In other Leeds team news, wonderkid Ronaldo Vieira has agreed a new three-year-deal at the club.
