Tottenham summer signing Vincent Janssen has revealed what he sung before the season opener against Everton during his initiation into the squad.

The club ran an #AskVincent feature on it’s official Twitter page and the £17million striker was quizzed on what his introductory song in front of the squad was.

The Netherlands international revealed that he sang ‘I Want It That Way’ by the Backstreet Boys.

The striker was brought in to provide competition for Harry Kane, while also acting as cover when necessary.

However, Janssen’s opportunity has come sooner than expected after Kane suffered an ankle injury in the Premier League clash against Sunderland.

Janssen has led the line in the two following matches after Kane’s injury and has featured in nine encounters for the north London club, but has a return of just one goal.

Tottenham face Pep Guardiola’s dominant Manchester City side at the weekend and they will be sure to provide a stern test for the former AZ Alkmaar man.

The north London side have started the new campaign well and sit just behind City in second place.

With the addition of the Champions League in the new campaign Mauricio Pochettino is looking to improve on the club’s third place finish from last season.

In other Tottenham team news, fans react on Twitter to speculation that Son Heung-min could leave.
