Arsenal starlet Alex Iwobi has been filmed teaching the Gunners £35million summer signing Granit Xhaka London slang.

The former Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder arrived in north London in May to become one of Arsene Wenger’s most expensive additions during his time at Arsenal.

The Switzerland international has clearly settled in well at the Emirates and is already learning new words and phrases.

Xhaka came under fire this week after picking up his seventh red card in two years against Portugal during the international break, but has now returned to his club ahead of Saturday’s home clash against Southampton.

The 23-year-old has impressed in Arsenal’s last two matches, starting in central midfield alongside Santi Cazorla.

Xhaka was joined by Lucas Perez and Shkodran Mustafi in the most recent transfer window as Arsenal looked to go one better than their second place finish last season and win the Premier League this term.

Iwobi, who seemed impressed with Xhaka’s efforts in the video, has grown into one of Wenger’s most capable young players.

The forward is competing with the likes of Joel Campbell, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Chuba Akpom for a starting place in the Arsenal first team.

In other Arsenal news, Gunners legend Paul Merson has predicted Everton will beat Sunderland 2-0 at the Stadium of Light on Monday evening.
