Everton fans had mixed views on Twitter after Gerard Deulofeu provided a wonderful assist for AC Milan.

Currently on a half-season loan from the Toffees, Milan’s new number seven provided a superb solo assist for playmaker Marko Pasalic to tap in.

Despite having nine men following red cards to Gabriel Paletta and Juraj Kucka, Deulofeu produced a moment of magic by turning the Bologna defence inside out.

His solo run saw the Spaniard find space in the opposition penalty area before sliding a perfectly weighted pass to Pasalic who tapped in to earn a 1-0 win and all three points.

In what was his first win for his new side, Deulofeu has now made four appearances for Milan after being ushered out by manager Ronald Koeman in January.

Everton fans reacted on Twitter after viewing the former Barcelona ace’s goal. Some fans were delighted to see the winger shine in a Milan shirt, while some were hoping that the moment of magic would only increase his value for a potential summer sale.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Deulofeu had a hand in 27 goals during his 75 league and cup outings during his stay in Merseyside. Scoring eight of those, Deulofeu also provided 19 assists.
