Former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore is predicting a shock when his former club visit Selhurst Park to take on Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Reds have made a fast start to the season with 20 points from nine games, but Collymore thinks they might be haunted by former striker Christian Benteke in south London.

“I’m going to give Crystal Palace three points,” Collymore said in his regular prediction piece for BoyleSports.

Christian Benteke will want to do well and will be fired up. They’re a bit of a bogey team for Liverpool too. This is my upset of the week.”

Liverpool, chasing their first ever Premier League title, are currently on 20 points, the same as leaders Manchester City and Arsenal.

Jurgen Klopp will know that these are the games his team will have to win if they want to be in with a shot at the title at the end of the season.

His team beat Crystal palace in the last meeting between the two teams, but they’ve lost three in the last four Premier League games against Alan Pardew’s side.

In other Liverpool news, the club has held talks with this Swedish club in pursuit of their young striker.
