Arsene Wenger has confirmed Petr Cech will return for Arsenal’s trip to Hull on Saturday afternoon, after he sat out their Champions League opener against Paris Saint-Germain in midweek.
Wenger angered supporters by resting his number 1 goalkeeper for David Ospina in their 1-1 draw in Paris on Tuesday night.
Despite criticism, Ospina put in a magnificent display as the Gunners snatched a point in their Champions League opener.
But the Frenchman revealed via the club’s official Twitter account on Friday afternoon that Cech will return for their Premier League clash at the KC stadium.
“Cech will be back,” Wenger told his Friday press conference as posted by the club’s official Twitter account. “I have two world class goalkeepers and for the day I chose Ospina and he had an outstanding game.
“You cannot keep it where one of them does not get a game. You have to give them games in big competitions. There will not be many other changes.”

Cech has started all four games for Wenger’s side this term keeping one clean sheet in the process against Premier League Champions Leicester City.
After losing their opening Premier League game 4-3 to Liverpool, the Gunners will be looking to build upon their four-match unbeaten run, including victories in their previous two league games.
