Jack Wilshere will be sidelined for another month as his comeback from injury is once again postponed.
The Arsenal midfielder had initially been expected to return from a fractured shin around Christmas but he has suffered a series of setbacks.
Speaking at his media briefing on Friday, Arsene Wenger said Wilshere will not return until at least the middle of March.
“He will miss another three or four weeks,” Wenger said.
Injury-plagued Wilshere has not kicked a ball for Arsenal all season after suffering a hairline fracture of his left fibula in training on the eve of the Gunners’ Community Shield clash against Chelsea.
In other Arsenal injury news, Wenger confirmed that, as revealed by Football Insider on Wednesday night, Gabriel is out of the Hull match, and is also set to be sidelined for the Barcelona and United fixtures, after returning to Brazil for treatment on a hamstring injury.
“Paulista is still out, he will need another week,” the manager said.
